Puppy Raiser Application

If you have reviewed the general information and key components of puppy raising and would like to proceed to the next step, please submit the on-line Puppy Raiser Application. We will e-mail your application to the region nearest to where you live. You will hear from a Guiding Eyes representative within a week.

This application indicates your interest in finding out more about raising a puppy that will one day become someone’s Guiding Eyes. We ask our potential raisers to be well informed in order to make this important decision. You will be invited to attend classes that will answer your questions and help you prepare to become a puppy raiser. Puppy raising is an act of generosity that will have a profound impact on someone’s life. It is a very large commitment but as one raiser said recently, “We love the dogs; they are the best of the best. We are so proud when they succeed, and there are many smiling faces at graduation. And a blind person benefits tremendously from our work. But I’m convinced we are getting the better end of this deal…Puppy raising is challenging, but the return on investment is extraordinary. This adventure has brought our family together like little else could.”

For additional information or if you do not hear from us within 10 days of applying, please contact Linda Damato, Director, Puppy Program Support Services at ldamato@guidingeyes.org.
