Every so often there is an organization that, in one fell swoop, makes an indelible impact on an event. For the third year in a row, the Guiding Eyes Golf Classic has been transformed by the leadership support of Entergy.

Entergy is known throughout Westchester County for its extraordinary generosity to charity. In addition to Guiding Eyes, the company has supported the American Heart Association, Easter Seals, and the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester.

Entergy is also a major player in the revitalization of downtown Peekskill – and Guiding Eyes has benefited from this investment, as the city is one of the preferred training venues for our dogs and students.

In 2009, the company took a keen interest in the many volunteers that support the mission of Guiding Eyes. Entergy now sponsors the Training School Volunteer Program.

In addition to financially supporting nonprofits, Entergy encourages its own employees to participate in nonprofit volunteer activities. The company’s “community connectors” program motivates employees to volunteer by making contributions to a charity of their choice, based on the amount of time spent volunteering.
